It had been a long day. Tornoc had been hunting for his enemy all week but still didn't come much closer but he still held his bloodful oath of avenging the death of his father and the loss of his mother by killing the black red-eyed wolf. He would kill him no matter what.
Tiredly Tornoc walked to a cool spring and drank deeply. He raised his head as he caught the smell of another horse. A BAND! Not far away a herd of dark horses grazed in a clearing not even noticing him.
To tired to move on he decided to stay with the herd for awhile and rest. Casualy he made his way to the herd. As the herd finally noticed him there came a high pitched scream as a dark stallion raced toward. His teeth bared and his ears flat aginst his head.
Tornoc wasn't worried, he had stayed with many bands if not for more than a few days to a week but he never stayed. He had been challenged many times but never accepted. His oath had been sworn and he felt no need of a herd til' it had been made.
The stallion stopped before him and screamed his threat again. Calmly Tornoc bowed his head in respect and loyalty. The stallion stood undecided. Then wearily returned the bow, accepting his presence. With a toss with his head he left Tornoc to stay with the herd. Many dark horses used this gesture as sign of friendship and it was also a sign that showed the leader that he ment no harm to him or his band. Though the dark horses did this light rarely did for fear of dire consequences. Tornoc had stayed with a few light bands as well but not for long. They always seemed to keep away from him for fear of his brutal looks and sometimes savage behavoir.
Tornoc slowly made his way toward the herd then stopped. They curiously eyed him then returned to their meal. Quietly Tornoc nibbled on some blades of grass and waited for another horse to approach him to make confersation. Few ever dared but he didn't care. He didn't mind socializing but too much of it bored him eventually. He continued his grazing waiting for a horse brave enough to approach him and start a chat.
