The beautiful ebony fae freely moved into the claiming grounds happy to finally be old enough to enter them. Her mother had told her fairy tales of such an occasion as this that one day she’d meet a prince and that she’d be his queen and that she’d live happily in his herd with other mares and foals. She was a very sheltered light never known that of a dark day in her life. The night-washed enchantress never had to work for her food or fight for her life.
Even though her parents slighted her by not telling her the ways of the dark world and that it existed, she was very bright and quick to learn. Very curious in nature and things around her, very sweet and kind, she was the epiphany of all who would want to be light. She knew no other way. And that was what made her the greatest light vixen of all. She was pure in that.
She moved about the claiming grounds staying by herself not talking to others for she was shy. But she was curious of others and would look at them as they looked at her. The captivating black beauty was wondering what brute would be interested in her and how long would she wait for such one to come to her. Hopefully not long. She lowered her boa and her silks cascaded down her crania as she nipped a few blades of greenery here and there with her pearls daintily while she awaited her future.

Quietly Tornoc stalked to a clearing not more than ten feet ahead. Suddenly he threw up his head. Another horse was in the clearing, it was a female. A female in heat. He let out a quiet snort not caring if she heard or not. Silently he walked on. When he finally came to the edge of the clearing he was not surprised by her beauty. She was a light. OF COURSE. He thought why else would she be so charming. Of course he had never seen a mare light or dark that he had fell for their charm but this was different. Usually a mare simply searched for or even demanded a stallion to breed to but she it seemed did not. She just quietly nibbled at her grass as if to pay not attention to him. He was a brute, even he knew that but he wanted to be with her. Whether she liked him or not. He disliked the other horses who would find a mate just to breed but maybe they were right. He didn't know, it was only his first year at this. But how could a light ever accept a dark or did he get to decide. Nervously he walked toward her and stopped. Curosity rose within him as he waited for her to notice him. That is if she even did.

The raven figurine lifted her boa for she felt watched, but that was silly who would be watching her. With her voids she scanned her surroundings looking for any clue as of who might be the culprit and there he was. Standing no less than a few feet away. Pure black as the night. He took her breath away just looking at him. He was magnificent to look at. But there was something about him that sent a chill down her back though, but for some reason she and it had to do with her up bringing, she couldn't bring a name to it.
The stygian nalad could be caught staring for she was fascinated by him and yet she didn't know the dangers that such a major look could cause. She was looking at him with awe and respect but giving him way too much credit for his good looks and it showed in her expression. She wasn't bold enough to approach him, but she did smile an innocent come hither smile at him.
Once again she had no clue of light and dark in her world. She existed in a fairy tale world for she was brought up that way. Never tragedy in her life yet. Yet...

His heart felt as if it leaped right into his throat. She was starring at him. It was a very awkward possession he was in. He knew very little about the light alliance for he was only raised by the dark. He couldn't tell much of a difference between her and him except for the fact that he was a cold hearted brute and she was beautiful maiden. *sigh* Why would she want him anyhow. It was the same story he had heard over and over. Lights were only interested in a mellow light stallion. Not a black, blood soaked, scar baring stud. He knew he was strong and fast but he thought she wouldn't except him anyhow. Then she smiled. SHE SMILED! Maybe he was wrong. Her smile pulled him, beckoned him to come closer. What if she refused him, how would that look? A black dark horse being turned down by a light. Wait! He shouldn't underestimate her. Though he thought low of her he knew he was wrong. She was beautiful beyond belief, how would he ever forget her if he just relied on the stories he was told and just walk away. Calmly he walked toward her, not caring to stand arrogant and proud. He wasn't going to lie to her. He was a brute and if she wouldn't accept that then he would have to move on even if it was a painful thought. As he drew closer he tried to decide what he should do next. When he was only about a foot or a half away he stopped. Curiously he store into her eyes. They beautiful beyond belief. He felt as if he could drown in those eyes of elegance and yet still live a joyful life. As he store he saw that she was just as curious of him as he was her. He couldn't decide what to say so slowly he stretched his muzzle toward her then stopped. If she touched his muzzle then it may mean she accepted him. This is how he greeted others male or female. He just prayed that she would accept.

He was coming closer! Oh my, he was reaching out his mug halfway. She eyed him. He wasn’t trying to impress her she gathered that much from his walk over here, but something drew her to him. She liked that about him. It was his mysterious cloud that hung around him that she wanted to know more about him. Her orbs took him in then she ever so slowly reached out her maw and touched his mug. Then she pulled away. And parted her lips. “I am Allegra.” Her voice was harmonious. A melody in itself. “I’m pleased to meet you, my lord.” Her lips curved into another smile that of a curvy one of amusement.
She had accepted him but by a curiosity stand point and his masculinity drew her but she knew little about that all that she knew is that he appealed to her. He appealed to her and that was all that mattered. She eyed him boldly but with secrecy as she talked to him. Noting the scars on him and the ever so telling marks that screamed out warning signs but meant nothing to her except that he’d been hurt by vicious animals.

Patiently he waited. She looked at him. He couldn't read her expression, he couldn't tell if it would work or not. Then slowly she reached out and touched his nose. Then quickly she pulled back. Tornoc raised his head as she gently spoke "I am Allegra. I'm pleased to meet you, my lord." Her voice was if she was humming a soft tune as she spoke. It flowed gently as she spoke. He quivered. Something was haunting within its beauty yet he didn't understand why. He quickly replied "As I you my mistress of beauty and elegance."] He looked into her eyes and longed to never turn away from them. Though he didn't quite know her he loved her. He could tell she was different from any other mare he had ever seen. As he store on he remembered his scar. The scar he had bore upon his face. The scar that ran rigidly from his right temple crossed over his eyelid and ran to the right of his upper lip. He hadn't tried to hide it but he hoped that at the sight of it she wouldn't refuse him. His thick black forlock cascaded done his face covering the scar. As he told himself before he wouldn't lie or hide anything from her. He threw up his head tossing his forlock back exposing his dreadful scar. The wolf that had given him the scar still ran wild about the lands. After recieving it he swore an oath to destroy him but at the moment had found no trace of him since. He spoke to her again saying, "You need not fear my dear. I mean no harm to such a graceful maiden as yourself." Quietly he waited. He wanted to say more but didn't know what. So he waited hoping his painful past would not disturb this moment.
